Zoom is probably one of the best tools out there and it isn't too expensive.

Zoom is basically always the answer.

It works on everything and is so simple, even a doctor can use it once the IT pro sets up the account and puts it on his devices.

Yeah, Zoom is the default option for this, really no need to look elsewhere if you want something idiot-proof.

I have people hunting for solutions that allow large meetings currently. North of the commonly available 150-300 attendees range that I see on most products.

        Anyone have suggestions for that?

You'd have to license for it but Zoom can do 1000 people meetings as well.

              Thanks! We'll go with Zoom.

Zoom says they can handle 1000 or more, but you need to contact them for pricing.

If you're looking to host something yourself.

                https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton

                Is actually really decent.

I had that one integrated with Moodle (Online Classrom) one time.

Jitsi Meet is also a decent one if you're looking to host yourself - or if you want them to host it.

Otherwise, I'd go with Zoom. I just got off a 4 hour Webex call, that may be the reason for my bias, lol.

I'm thinking about setting up Jitsi on one of our colo servers. I know @JaredBusch posted an installation guide on it.

I like that it uses pure WebRTC and doesn't require an app or anything to be downloaded.

May not work for the OP's application though.

Jitsi works great on a public IP.

I never got it to work correctly behind Nginx
I use it for my D&D campaign for audio/video.

                      Spun it up on Vultr.
                      Run the game.
                      Shutdown the instance.
                      Make Vultr Snapshot
                      Delete instance (for no billing).
Spin up instance from snapshot afternoon of next game.
                      Repeat.

It works great. We have one, too.
