it sounds too much like Groupwise

That's because GroupWise is specifically named after GroupWare. No matter what GroupWare was called, if you despise one product named after it, the problem will follow you.

The download link on NC site takes you to the regular version 18 download. I will be ready for this when it does release.

That's cool. Too bad they can't pick a name other than Groupware, it sounds too much like Groupwise, which I despised.

My previous employer, I was there from 2006-2009, is still running GroupWise 6 right now. It was installed in like 2000.

I just upgraded my personal instance to 17.0.2 yesterday. Will the upgrade to 18 have all the new "Hub" features?

We've been on the 18 Beta and RCs for a while, and we aren't seeing it.

Interesting. Contrary to what it seems like on their website. You'd think a release date would at least be addressed in the article but I don't see it anywhere.

It looks like the OnlyOffice integration is an additional, paid feature. Home users are still directed to the onlyoffice site.

@notverypunny I'm not 100% sure that this has been implemented. I'm currently running 17.02 but @scottalanmiller reported that it isn't implemented on 18 (BETA and RCs) either

                    For OnlyOffice:
Install and enable latest OnlyOffice app, Install and enable document server app; that’s it.

There is a limit of 20 concurrent users unless you compile yourself.

Doesn't show up on my app list any longer, though.

@black3dynamite too bad that stuff isn't working with the 18.0 release. What worked in RC2 seems broken now.

I just updated my Nextcloud this morning, and was able to get it going with the OnlyOffice Document server and both of them on the same system... Just used the Install guide for OnlyOffice Document server here: https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/Docker-DocumentServer and some googling for some other errors.

Performance is not bad at all.
