So basically, this is a solution for the question I had a few days ago? https://mangolassi.it/topic/18436/remote-viewing-software
Yes. It is certainly an answer.
It is beta. So depending on where you are in needs, it might not be a good fit.
that basically what I meant, a possible answer.
So far, we are pretty impressed.

No mention of macOS, though.
But no one cared anyway
Um... how many people use this kind of stuff and only want to remotely view Windows and Linux? Nearly all have to deal with Mac. Way more than have to deal with Linux.
I've gone my entire IT career without ever dealing with Mac.

We are liking MeshCentral more and more. Seems like a solid win.

Is everything ran from a website? Like could I connect from a phone to a workstation?

that's the idea, yeah. It's a remote access server, just like ScreenConnect.

Am I correct in stating that it is like ScreenConnect remote access agents but doesn't do the same "remote support" connections? At least that's what I seemed to get from the website.

That seems to be correct, unless I've missed some magic somewhere for the "remote support" option.

...so, no Wayland issues? Java dependency isn't mentioned anywhere
I'm a paid user of ConnectWise Access and luckily I predominantly support Windows PCs and Servers, as the ConnectWise Linux agent is less than ideal. -

It is all nodejs from what I saw.

Fedora is working now.
Don't know why, installed again and it worked.
Did the install on Fedora require any different or additional steps compared to the Ubuntu instructions?
What flavor of Fedora did you use?
-
Playing around with this and it looks promising. Running into what looks like a conflict induced by our AV solution (TrendMicro) on the client.

I think the Fedora install might have only been the client side, not the server side.

Did not install the server on Fedora. The server is on Ubuntu. The client worked on Fedora, and without any effort like ScreenConnect. Fedora 29 Cinnamon, a vanilla install. Just worked.

Yup, haven't seen anything that isn't NodeJS. But no idea what the agents are written in.

We are adding users and devices like crazy as we switch more and more to MC. Here is our current status.

No, haven't seen any need for it yet. The system is still lightning fast.
