Does Windows Defender have licensing limitations for organizations over 10, or so, users/computers? I cant remember exactly what the limitations used to be for Windows 7/8.

That was a long time ago. It's just part of your Windows license now.

It is built into Windows so no limitation that I am aware of

            Just no central management.

Once upon a time it had a limit of 10 computers in an org. It was ridiculous. But it was not long lasted.

Oh yeah, but that was for Microsoft Security Essentials which was not the same as Defender at the time. But I do know that limitation on Windows 7.

So if you had 21 users at a company you would have to buy 3 licenses?
                  Im glad that's not current!

Windows Defender or Webroot by choice.

At work we use Sophos as well. The centralized management console for a corporate network is a huge time saver. Most AV software will have a centralized management console available at some price point, so the vendor doesn't really matter so much for that.

                        10-1 license: 2 for 20, 3 for 21? because of the extra person ?
                        is that wrong?

Must license per user in orgs over 10 users. 21 users = 21 licenses.
