      In the ever continuing saga:

      Windows 10 Pro 1709
MS Office Pro Plus (from Volume License)

Excel and Outlook will just hang for several seconds during use for no apparent reason.

"random clicks" that do nothing, then the system wakes up (the system was not in sleep mode, fyi) and suddenly does all kinds of weird things (Personally I believe the previously unregistered clicks are all being applied once the system dezombiefies, which makes it appear as if it's doing random stuff)

      Trouble shooting steps:
Replaced computer with entirely different brand newly ordered computer (HP Elitedesk)
ran a new ethernet cable (Direct from switch to PC, nothing in the middle - it does avoid lights and other power cables as much as possible in the ceiling)
Scanned PC for virus using MS Defender offline and Total defender offline
      Spinrite ran on SD
      Installed Eaton UPS

No other users are reporting issues.

Excel does not appear to have any issue when working from the local drive. Documents is a redirected folder on the network (where 99% of things live for this user).

Outlook works in Online only mode.

The problems seem to be network related - but as I mentioned, I've ran a new cable and put the user on another switch port, and no one else is having issues. - oh and NEW computer!

This is typically what is happening.

          @dashrender User process caused.

When there are no more technical reasons, then it is usually user caused.

Install screen and keyboard recording software.
wait for a fail, and then check the logs.

I watched her work for several mins.

She highlighted a cell - right click and copy.

click on another cell - nothing, click again, nothing, click somewhere else, nothing,
click a different sheet tab - nothing...

            wait 15 seconds
clicks all happen at once and the user ends up on the different sheet.

The user is doing nothing strange.

I have seen weird/slow response with the video/hardware acceleration turned on. Try disabling it.
