For anyone who wants to talk to them and see what their phones do, this is their phone number: 800.467.4448
Which options are you trying?

I called their returns number and that actually got through to someone... 800-827-6100. First number that's gone anywhere other than a voicemail box. We'll see if they can reach anyone else.

Maybe they are having issues with their phone systems. I called and just waited through the auto attendant menu and it was 1 ring and a man picked up with "Insight. How may I help you?"

Sales... goes nowhere.
Operator... goes to sales and then goes nowhere. -
They found us a live person, we are getting somewhere. So far THESE people are nice and trying to help.

Two hours of non-stop calls to get the first real person.

Wow they are pieces of work. They claim to be one of the world's largest companies, but they can't tell us ANYTHING other than we are a customer. They have no way to pull up our information to tell us about our account. Even speaking to their sales reps, it still appears to be a scam. If MS didn't vouch for them, I'd not believe that they were real. They brag about how big they are, but they can only service customers from one guy. They claim he's not a point of failure, but that without him there is no way to find out about our account. So in one breath they claim that they have no means of working with customers if the rep leaves, but that that isn't a risk.
Abject failure.

Talking to MS again as Insight Direct is refusing to try to do anything to even find out what volume license stuff we have. They claim they will do something tomorrow. But if our rep is out, they can't look up our info. So we can't just trust that he'll come to work. Or even exists. It's just a run around.

That sounds really good and sort of kind of sounds like a SA letter.
Yeah, but with the reseller being defunct it's super fishy. Why would MS cancel us based on the reseller no longer being active? Seems like some pretty seriously bad business practices.
Oh right, I just meant well crafted phish.

Oh, no it's ACTUALLY legit. At least I'm 99% sure it is now. The vendor is just a total piece of sh1t, it turns out.

Right we know that know but when I posted it was still maybe not.

My concerns now are just how unprofessional this place is, and their obvious risk of the account being owned and controlled by a single person who, if not around (or sick, on vacation, etc.) cannot be brought up by the company without them. No way can we depend on that kind of situation for a business.
