@irj Super key (Windows key) + L
It works natively with Gnome.What's weird is there no option to lock screen from power menu. If you don't know the shortcut key, you can't leave your pc lol.
I had to log out to leave my desk since I didn't know default shortcut, until I had a chance to set up ctrl + alt + l
What's your desktop environment?
Gnome. It's solved now, obviously. At the time I didn't know the shortcut and there was no option on power menu. I wanted to use the restroom so I was forced to log out. Not a huge deal, but I feel like bitching about it anyway

I've had a ton of small issues making the switch from Windows, but I can happily say I'm 95% there.

Evolution is great btw. There's some things I actually like better than Outlook.

Now I just need to get communicator/lync/Skype, whatever Microsoft wants to call it today, working.
I installed pidgin with sipe. I haven't had a chance to configure yet.

You can lock your screen by clicking on the system menu on the right side of the top bar and press the lock screen button at the bottom of the menu.

I pretty much use the web interface for all of Microsoft products.
