@kelly Not really an EAP like in the past. It is now a setting in the admin console. I enabled it yesterday and am using the new interface on both work and personal accounts.
Is there a tier that you have to be at in order to see it? Or should it be listed no matter what?
It is not listed on mine yet, but those are the instructions.

So I'm not going crazy then. Well, at least not about this

@murpheous @WLS-ITGuy According to Google it is an EAP item.
"The all-new Gmail experience is available for businesses to start using today in the G Suite Early Adopter Program (EAP) and can be turned on in the Admin console. Read more detail on how to turn on the experience in this post. Heads up: you’ll start to see offline support, confidential mode (limited release), Nudging, high-priority notifications and unsubscribe suggestions appear in the coming weeks. Keep up with the latest news on these features in the G Suite Updates blog."

It is just not available yet even EAP for my G-Suite Admin.

I'm not sure about it. Just checked it out. It's slower than the old interface, at least on my system.

It seems better now. It felt like the little yellow loading pop up came up more frequently on the new UI. But now that I've been using it, it doesn't seem to happen as much.

Oh okay, I didn’t see that

It felt really sluggish to me, but you are sensitive to these things when trying something new, so hard to say.

Initial loading on a new browser or device does seem slow, but not any worse than before. I like the new displays of where attachments are.

Not the initial, I mean reading email actions.

Uck, I haven't noticed that, yet, let me knock on some wood.

New ui will not play wav files. Our voicemails are delivered via email.

Get VLC player. It plays all the formats. Your voicemails are almost certainly being delivered in a lo-fi, wack-ass version of a .wav file.

It could be sluggish if Gmail offline is enabled. I only noticed a little slow down while using Firefox.

Have you not noticed literally everything else slowing down because of FF? They keep saying their new versions are the tits, but FF has gotten worse and worse with each new version in my experience. I wouldn't blame slowness on a new gmail interface until I confirmed it on 4 other browsers.

So far Chrome, Opera, and Vivaldi is working great for me. Firefox was ok on my Mac but on Fedora it took awhile. I’m not willing to try Safari or Microsoft Edge to confirm.

I'll try chrome. I was using FF Quantum on Fedora. Maybe that's what the problem was.
