What Does Your Home Lab and Office Look Like?
-
I have a very nice rack in my office, but I'd get slapped if I posted any pics...
Other than that, it's still a pretty nice office space. Maybe I just like it because I built it myself?

Now that the site has great picture support.... let's start getting pictures up here!

Just ordered a couple of older servers off e-bay for my home lab for $100/ea
I purchased 1 HP Proliant GL385 G6 2x 1.85ghz 6-core 64MB RAM
and 1 HP Proliant GL385 G6 2x 2.3ghz 4-core 64MB RAMThey should serve a home lab purpose well I hope, just will need to get some storage for them.
-
Wow, those are going to be loud.
How come you went with servers for home instead of a hosted solution like Digital Ocean?
-
I'm wanting to play with storage products like starwind etc. that I've only read about but didn't have equipment to use
they won't be on unless I'm working with them I figured they will be loud
-
@brianlittlejohn i've got similar gear. they're loud on startup and still pretty loud once they idle down but like you said, for testing etc, its' not bad
-
Here is where I was working this weekend.
-
This is my work space today, focusing on MangoCon planning and keeping it simple.
-
Okay... so I'm showing off a little.

Here is one of @art_of_shred's offices
and My office -
@Minion-Queen I'm jealous, you get to watch movies at work.
-
Well that pics was from the day I put it in. I am not watching anything now, though have a webinar in 45 minutes that I will be using it for.
-
-
My home lab has nearfield monitors, an audio mixer, instruments, amplifiers, and microphones. Servers stay at work, I do creative things at home.
-
All the Audio Equipment is in the band room here.
-
Never mind the bottle of cheap sake. It has been a rough day.
