@Obsolesce church down the street from my old house.
Spain?
Granada, Nicaragua. That is the water front church on "the mall", the giant pedestrian way that leads from the plaza mayor to the Lago Nicaragua waterfront. It's a gorgeous spot. The church is ancient and cool.
Looks so cool
Such a great spot. And on the west side of it is a boulevard that is all restaurants and shops. THE place to go for a nice night out. Everyone sits out on the street. All of the restaurants put tables on the street and you just sit outside.

What's interesting is all of the places that AREN'T stressed. All the top ones are in LATAM and two of the five are NTG office locations (Mexico, Panama), and all the other three are directly next to NTG office locations (Guatemala and El Savador are sandwiched between Mexico and Nicaragua), and Paraguay is the main border with Bolivia!
NTG = Low Stress!

Some of those have such horrible gang issues - I'm surprised the stress is low... i.e. my friend adopted from Guatemala - he had to have armed guards to keep the police from raiding his hotel and taking him and other guests to the ATMs for random money.

Just like in the US. Having lived in areas there, that stuff is all completely misleading. Huge swaths of those countries, just like in the US, are totally safe. And just like the US, there are scary areas. I had to have armed guards in the lobby of my apartment building in New Jersey, too. And the police were never allowed to leave the street on either side of us.
Millions of people live in Guatemala without any of those issues. If you stay and act like a rich American, and do so in a really scary area (same as Chicago would have) and don't know what you are doing, you are a high profile target in a bad area. And having armed guards and needing them isn't the same. I've been to some seriously rough parts of Central America with no guard, middle of the night, alone and it's not bad. Not US bad at least.
El Salvador is famous for its US gang issues. Those are San Diego gangs there. So the issues you perceive there, too, are very real, but are also very real here. El Salvador also has the "Route of Flowers" which is famous and I think you'd find not scary in the least.

The size has always confused people. Especially Eurpoeans who just want to "pop over to Adelaide or Sydney" while they are in Perth.
