I did a search for 'facilities management' before I posted. Didn't see really see anything.
Does anyone have a recommendation for ticketing / asset tracking for facilities that I can try out?
Obviously, free / open source would be desired.
Thanks@Dashrender was looking for something like that before. So let's check with him.
I was?
A while ago you asked for home task and stuff If I recall correctly or might have been Dustin...

Why wouldn't a basic ticketing system work for this? OSticket or something similar may be viable.

I would think that that would work just fine.
Or check out @sodium SodiumSuite is going to be deploying an updated helpdesk shortly.

I'll check these out. Eventually, I'll need to arrange for support. I'll be more about rolling it out, configuring & troubleshooting. Operations & issues, will be an operational function unless.... Well, you get the picture.
Thanks -

ThanksosTicket you deploy and manage yourself. SS is fully hosted so you just "turn it on".

I've seen many posts about Sodium Suite. Is / will there be a charge for the product and / or hosting? I don't have an issue with this, I just need to know when evaluating.

Look at Wave Accounting, for example.

Cool,

Cool,
ThanksThere are a lot of monetization ideas being kicked around. But the obvious one that isn't in any way secret is that the system will almost certainly have a software and tools marketplace built in with automated deployments. So, for example, why buy your AV from someone else, when you can support your favourite hosted application AND get the deployment handled for you.
Easy monetization as most companies need some basics like AV, Office suite, etc.

I setup SpendMap for my old company. It isn't free or opensource, but the facilities people absolutely loved it.

Oh and I rarely if ever had to do anything with SpendMap. Their support was absolutely fantastic! We had it for a few years and I think I only touched the servers to update them here or there. The support did all app updates themselves and I just had to be available for support if something went awry.
