I only have Netflix and Amazon and I have the Walking Dead, Modern Family, etc. Definitely not The Voice, thank goodness, no idea about Mr Robot. Network shows that are good enough for Netflix to want, they get. Just because it's also on a network doesn't mean you won't get it some other way.
True but they are a season behind at least. You can buy them a day after but that adds up.
The Voice is a wife favorite. Its tolerable. I usually work while she watches it in the background.

Mr. Robot is an Amazon production... one guess where the only place to get it is.
Mr Robot is a USA Network program
It is? I thought that was one of Amazon's exclusives, oh well, w/e.

Does being a season behind have any negative connotations?

When I quit Time Warner I had to hear it every day about how weird our life was without Cable TV, lol. So at this point I feel like Youtube TV is perfect iteration of Network TV over the Internet.
I dont think anything is going to catch up or beat Google on this. But you never know.

So glad that I cut the cables in the 1990s. So the idea of having cable in our house is completely unheard of and no one would ever consider it.

And every time we go to a family member's house and see it, we always come away saying "thank goodness we don't have that".

LMAO. I can relate. If I lived alone I am not sure I would watch any TV.
The one nice thing is that whenever I want to cut off internet and TV I can do so in one fell swoop from the router.

If you like to binge watch shows then it makes Amazon and Netflix a great choice.

But if you start a season late, you get the same level of keeping up.

I would really like a la carte pricing. I don't speak Spanish, so why would I want at least 2 Spanish only channels? This is one of the biggest problems with traditional TV providers; a whole bunch of crap channels I don't want, in a bundle with some I do want.
This is an amazing idea for the consumer but is not how the media companies write out their contracts. So, you want to carry History, USA, TBS, and MTV? Then, by contract, you also have to purchase all of these other channels that nobody is going to watch. Its rediculous, but this is the cable/satellite industry. If that carrys into the streaming insustry, I don't know, but I would imagine so.

Yeah I know what you men, but every I doubt if it were broken up you'd see $3/station pricing. It would just become more expensive.
Since I was paying $220/month on average I'm really happy with where things are now. I'd have to really think about what the differences are. But even price aside I like the YouTube TV app experience and DVR way better.

There are some shows I just couldn't bare to wait a season on, and most of them I watched from season 1. I also try a lot of new stuff.
For instance I'm episode 5 of snowfall just from the random DVR/On demand use of YouTube.
And btw whoever this special agent actor is is ruining the whole show.

I've never understood this feeling. You don't wait any more doing it that way than you do getting it delayed on Netflix.

Some shows are more fun to take in weekly, discuss online, watch theories. We have a Walking Dead party group for example.
Other shows, like Modern Family and The Voice, you are never going to see except for Hulu. NBC execs are crazy. So $35 on Youtube TV saves me $12 on Hulu. Now I am only paying $22 more without considering the many other benefits.

IRL I don't know anyone that watches shows like that with whom I could discuss anything.

And? That was my point, who cares? There is no one to discuss it with, and once you don't start when it first releases the impact is literally zero. There is no real world negative here.

Do you get together to discuss the plot holes and inconsistencies? Because that's why I had to quit watching it first season. There's so little continuity.

That and it was boring? Yes, that's the kind of stuff one would discuss. but I don't know anyone that watches anything in a way that could be discussed like that except people who binge things on Netflix.
