Port - PFSense WAN goes offline every Hour
-
I have a problem with the pfSense 2.3.4-RELEASE-p1, the WAN interface is down every 1 hour.
I have to make any changes on the WAN interface and save it then the WAN interface is up again.
Is somebody experiencing the same problem? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

It's a cross post, not an issue I'm specifically having.

@aaronstuder Thanks for your reply. The pfSense appliance is a VM on HyperV.

@c-cruz Did you take a look at this?

I ran pfSense on ESXi before and experienced exactly the same behavior. I ended up putting it on bare metal, as no solutions worked. Rebuilding it, including config takes minutes, so I saw no benefits in virtualizing it, only issues.

@aaronstuder Thanks for your reply, i made the same steps as the guide. The VM is working and i have full connectivity, but after 1 hour the WAN is down. I made this change as you suggested (https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/VirtIO_Driver_Support), now i will monitor what will happen after 1 hour.

@marcinozga Thanks for your reply, i made the change that aaronstuder suggested me. I will post what happens after 1 hour.

Unfortunately, the solution (https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/VirtIO_Driver_Support) that @aaronstuder provided me didnt worked.

@c-cruz You might try the Hyper-V instructions.
Can you upgrade to 2.4.X?

@dustinb3403 Only if he can do it in under one hour

This assumes he's not onsite. . .
Which he must be on site because he's changing the settings in PFSense when it goes offline.

@dustinb3403 I know, I am just being a smart ass....
