I haven't tried it, don't have an iOS device. But I'm pretty sure that a preview of the image comes up.
So an even smaller d**k pic, how horrifying.
Like Mini-Me appearing under your seat on the subway. . .

Holy crap, I would hope not!

To be fair.... that would be utterly horrifying.

Those women in that article are pretty upset and degrading to people that they essentially advertised they were open to receiving anonymous pictures to AND decided to open voluntarily. These are just really stupid people trying to come with some excuse to be angry when there is no one to be angry with but themselves.

But technology is being abused by people who understand it better than they do. Therefore the technology supplier should be protecting the abused.

“iPhone 1 would like to share a note with you,” read the note sent at 6:51 p.m. She hit “Accept”
She did what?
And that is AFTER she set her phone to accept anonymous pictures in the first place!
-
I upvote all cat pictures.
Do people actually use apps like this? One that lets random people send you shit outside of email? -

Ya pretty sure it does. All of their marketing shows that. You get a preview of the image with and accept or decline button. So if it's on your phone it's your fault.
-
What I don't understand is why are people in such a huff about this.
So what, you've never received a random d-pic or v-shot before? Grow up, it's not as if they ran up to you, holding it in hand.
For all they know it could easily have been from a porno.

Ok the on your phone thing is not part of the conversation... but damn - they show a preview - WTF.. horrible.

Android has direct phone to phone sharing apps also. But higher bar to get to the open state like airdrop to everyone.

I was referring to the young lady in the image who accepted it yet is still upset.
-
@stacksofplates She accepted a blurred out picture and is upset.
I'm confused. . .

Now I am too.
-
She's upset because she did something stupid and it backfired, so now she's making a ruckus about it to the media because that's how millenials solve their problems. Well, that and run away to their safe space to hide from real life.
-
I'm asking - does AirDrop show you a preview of the picture?
If it does, something I think would be horrible, and she still clicked accept - she's just a moron. But does have a place to be upset because the preview is lewd.
But, if no preview is shown - again she's the idiot for accepting an invite for something she didn't anticipate, presumably from someone she could tell wasn't on her contact list (geezz I hope apple at least tells you who it's coming from before you could accept it).

No place to be upset. She had to advertise that she was receptive to anonymous pictures from strangers in public first. Zero excuses. This is her fault and her fault alone.
She might as well have walked up to drunk, homeless men and said "I'm not asking to see anything, but if you offer to show me, I'll guarantee that I'll at least look at the preview."

LOL - seems like a new sitcom!
