        Is node just a new term for server? Why would this be a useful thing / terminology.

          @mattspeller, ready node is a server pre-configured and certified to run a specific solution ( vSAN, S2D, Scale-IO etc...)

            It's a Ready Node, not a ready node, I think. Product name vs. a description.

              Ok so it's a preinstalled software package on certain hardware configs
