What's the best way to migrate to FreePBX 14?

Yeah, our entire other workload is on Vultr, the PBX is the last thing standing at Rackspace and it kills me every time I approve the invoice. I'll have to dig up that tool where you can migrate from another system to a new system.
Just backup and restore the PBX settings. Don't do V2V.

@scottalanmiller I was going to use this.. https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/PPS/Elastix+and+PBXinaFlash+to+FreePBX+Distro+Conversion+Tool
I thought the backup and restore had to be on the same version to be functional? -

Thy tool migrates settings from an old install to a new one.
I used to try an Elastixs to FreePBX 13 conversions and it sucked.
Might be decent from FreePBX to FreePBX though. Less custom shot to fuck up the new install.

Just following up, everything migrated fine. Went from Rackspace FPBX 13 Backup to Vultr FPBX 13 Restore, Vultr 13 -> 14 Upgrade. Besides a corrupt MySQL DB on the Rackspace box giving me issues, everything went flawlessly. Nuked the bad tables in the DB with help from my SIP provider and we are live on the new. Thanks, guys!

@smitherick awesome, glad everything went smoothly.

Vultr is half the cost with vastly better support, technology, and performance.

I used to try an Elastixs to FreePBX 13 conversions and it sucked.I'm obviously super late to the conversation, but we did a migration from Elastix to FPBX14 and it definitely sucked.
But as @JaredBusch recommended, we now had the option to export/import. So exporting from the messy migrated 14 to a fresh install of FPBX14 was a breeze and it's been rock solid since.
If you see any weird issues arise you may want to consider importing everything into a fresh install.

@aaronstuder Oh yes! Rackspace was about 3-4x more than what we are paying for Vultr. Not to mention much more flexibility, and performance (SSD).
