CPU Temp

@gjacobse
Take it from me managing AMD temp is pain in the ass I have a88x-g43 with an Athlon x4 750K and I am very disappointed with the hardware reporting.First of all what is the real temp TMPIN0/1/2 or the Package cause the BIOS and MSI tool points to my TMPIN0 as my CPU but I dont believe this. every other tool uses the package as the temp (SPeccy/Real Temp).
Also I noticed from Win 7 to Win 10 I gained extra 5C on both, no shit. I once saw the package reach 70C, my max temp for your CPU and mine are 71C. Just keep the fans high, and disable the Turbo Boost feature, and instead dont make the cpu get to low in its P states I understand this for mobile factors only but not desktops:

Have you attempted to clean out the heatsink for the CPU?
A can of pressurized air is another simple fix.

I do a cleaning from time to time.... and it doesn't seem to help any.

@gjacobse I dont think anything being reported by your temp program is accurate. Are you outside in the middle of winter right now? How is it possible your gpu is running at 32F/0C? Liquid nitrogen cooling on a work desktop?
Also, look at those voltages, no wonder AMD was no competition for intel the last ten years(changed as of ryzen). -
Are the temperatures reported on a Live Linux Disk or with another OS? I am pretty sure you have updated all the BIOS and firmware on the motherboard.
Any other CPU monitoring tools reporting the same temperature? -
Performed a case PM, system wasn't all that dusty. There wasn't really anything in the fins of the CPU block.. I did go ahead and clean / apply Thermal Grease.
Kicked up the CPU fan to Turbo, adds another 1krpm.. will have to see if that helps.

Current BIOS date is 0401 Build 2014. That is the next thing to check / do.
-
Well now that I am running Korora - I am looking for something to monitor it.
Glances has been install as is running. But as of yet, don't see temp shown.
-
-
Glances is a system tool, not a hardware tool.

It's fine, it's the same package in CentOS. Idk why I said that. Corrected original post.

It's installed -
