Strange Vultr VM Note

Upon Setting up my Ubuntu 17.04 VM in VUltr I found this:
Maybe there is a script updating the VM?

Although the VM shows the correct info

Looks like Ubuntu just added a message to remind people that the older version (12.04 Precise Pangolin) is out of support and will get no more updates.
Probably in the file that does the message of the day (/etc/update-motd.d.10-help-text)

Very weird. The first time I saw that message, I first thought I was still running 12.04 and needed to upgrade.
I'm seeing the same message on any Ubuntu based system right now.
