How to Play Wii Games on Ubuntu Linux with Dolphin

Dolphin is a free, open source Wii and GameCube emulator and this guide shows how to Install Dolphin on Ubuntu Linux for running Wii games. Great weekend project so that you can get playing Skies of Acadia!

I own a Wii, but would love to do this. Using the Wii itself is just so silly. Having my collection of GameCube games all set up and ready to run at anytime would be pretty awesome (I mention GC because I never found a Wii game worth playing.)

@mlnews Yep, works great. I use it specifically for gamecube myself (have to get my super smash bros melee fix every once ina while). I've never had any issues with it.

Loved that game. It was the best in my opinion.

Can I play Wii games and Gamecube games if I install the Dolphin Emulator? Did someone try this with this emulator to play games from these 2 console games? I have found the games that I want to play and now I'm confused is this emulator will support them, I'm new at this so any new advice would be nice.

It's specific purpose is Wii games, so yes, that's the idea. And GC as well.
