Looking at Ideas for a Grassless Backyard

How arid is the part of Texas your house is in?
Not very. I'm in a dryish, but generally green part. It's Dallas so nothing like desert. It's not Austin. Cooler and wetter. But nothing like Houston.

Something like this would be perfect for the other corner...
I'd prefer something larger but space is at a premium so even this would be massive in the yard.
"I want to work outside!"
links pictures of sealed boxes
?!?!?

Looks better than this:

Here you can have your fire pit and fountain covered in a single shot:
Oh, and can't forget your tiki bar which is just out of view of the picture above (theoretically):
** I fixed the sign for you ** -
That fountain is totally awesome.

OOOHHHH!!! It's like a Tiki Torch that we carry from one drinking even to another.

Yes, the part inside the water could resemble a mango!

My friend does hashing events. I think you'd like it.

Scott can you give us approximate dimensions?

We could add yellow lights to it, too.

This might be a nice setup for an outdoor office. -

This might be a nice setup for an outdoor office.I need something that is enclosed, it's Texas so a good portion of the year it is too hot to have open to the elements during the day and full of mosquitoes at night.

If you look at the left of the picture there is a folding door that is on a track. I live in St. Louis and we have the same problem during the summer, too humid and too many mosquitoes. However there are about four weeks in the year that you can have the windows open and get fresh air.

I saw the door, but I need glass because I want the view.

Get a door... With Windows!
I actually prefer sliding glass doors if you can get them to not squeal when you open them.

Maybe something like this!
But on a more serious note, this is pretty cool:

For the top one, the kids would be able to play while you work, but mosquitos and heat would still be an issue.
For the bottom one, just change out the glass on top for something opaque and we may be onto something. Bring in one good hail storm and that whole thing is busted up.

He'll need air conditioning... If you use something opaque for the top, you could stick on the RV kind of roof AC unit.
