@scottalanmiller Not even free OTA with an antenna? That is how i watch tv besides Netflix and Prime
Nothing. I hate the idea of "watching what is on". Not sure we have any kind of tuner, either.
Plex has a way to record from OTA or something. I'm not sure. Maybe check it out and see if it can help you?
If you have Plex pass, and a tuner compatible with Plex, you can set it up to record OTA broadcasts. Then someone else wrote a script that will remove commercials for you.

Unless you bought a gimped Vizio TV (only brand I am aware of that sells without a tuner to mass market), then your TV will have a tuner.

Do you use Plex Pass? I was considering pulling the trigger on it. I just got an email about more functionality /organization for photos that peaked my interest.

Not yet because I am not 100% sold on Plex. Been using it a month though and pretty solid.

@fuznutz04 I have Plex Pass and IMO it's completely worth it

Yeah, I am sold on the free version for all my DVD rips. I've been using it for almost a year without issues. The family loves it due to ease of use, and I love it because I am sick of seeing DVD cases lying all over the place from my kids.

What did you rip your DVD collection with? I have not done this yet as I was waiting to decide on a media player.
We no longer own a DVD/Blue-ray player except for the PS4. And that is not on the big family TV.

If I stick with Plex, the lifetime pass is 100% worth it.

I've considered just skipping the monthly and going right on to the lifetime pass. From everything that I've seen, its worth it.

I'm currently using DVDFab's (https://dvdfab.cn) DVD Copy & DVD Ripper. I've had zero issues with it.
