I'm wondering - why are you using KDE neon? Why not something more mainstream like Mint or Ubunutu with one of the standard GUI options?

I know that he tried both of those in another thread and they didn't work. He's using an of the wall Sony Vaio and support for things is not the best. He's been struggling with finding a Linux based OS that would load for a while. He tried FreeBSD and TrueOS as well, no luck there, either.

OIC. OK thanks.

@Dashrender because other threads shown the question you asked here.but the other mint os and Ubuntu has issue in using the drivers so I prefer KDE neon
-
@Lakshmana now prefer centos minimal ISO for learning in vmbox
-
How is the CentOS install coming along?
-
@scottalanmiller Downloading the ISO of Centos to be mapped in the VMBOX of the KDE Neon
-
@Lakshmana Downloading completed will start tonight from which place the learning can be started ?/
-
What application or web site would you like to run first?
-
@scottalanmiller No idea upto now.For testing purpose need to configure firewall and other smaller things to be learned in linux then need to test with the production things in the small laptop with the accepted configuration
-
Maybe just build a simple LAMP stack and set up a static web page first.
-
@scottalanmiller How do that ? Any links for the beginner to learn and execute

Loads of LAMP resources out there. Linux is used for that so often that probably half of all projects use LAMP somewhere.
