Yes I am not able to get to the community either.
Holiday DDoS attack? There's no telling.
Maybe [moderator's name deleted because he probably has people watching this enemy site] has pissed off the wrong gray hat...
If they have people watching this site. It is a waste of resources. Although I am sure plenty of cronies will do that on their own time for free.

Bah. I was wondering if my post made it or not. It's not been a good couple of weeks for me here, so Spiceworks isn't immune either apparently.
I was GOING to respond to your very bottom post about how you had been looking for a new position where you would have a chance to learn from other people. Your tone made it sound like maybe you were left all to your own devices at this new position?

I know for a fact that they do have people watching here. Probably volunteer, but still. Take it from SW enemy #1.

55 minutes, still showing as down here.

I'm sure it's probably coincidence, but around the time I noticed SW was seemingly offline, my local Spiceworks instance decided to become unresponsive. Now I'm trying to solve that mystery as well.
-
@NetworkNerd It's not coincidence. Many of the community elements, including the sign in package are part of ma-Spiceworks.

Not coincidence, the local installs depend on the mothership. It's public knowledge that they are tied together.

Sign in is likely what is causing delays.

Over an hour now.

Man I feel bad for them. Can't imagine the panic over there right now trying to get it all back up. Good luck guys!
-
It is always interesting to me that communication doesn't happen through other channels. Why not post to Twitter you are experiencing issues? At least that keeps us all wondering if "it's not you, it's me."

Yup, a lot of butterflies going on right now in a lot of stomachs. This is prime traffic time on a busy day while there is a major discussion of some concern going on (that I've not seen, but have heard about.)

Their last tweet was four hours ago. Definitely should be using that channel to provide some sort of update. Surprised that their CDN doesn't put up a static message about being down.
-
I Tweeted to them asking for a status update.
-
@scottalanmiller They have actually been posting to Twitter about the outage. Not a community-wide thing, but enough to answer a couple of people online at least.
-
They did tweet about an outage on the 17th, but not today. But I'm pretty sure that they have Internet as I can Facebook to people in the office.

It's silent...

Oh, just responding to people. That's good. But they should get it to the main posts, people don't get alerted to replies or know to go digging for them.

@Coloradogeek Thanks!
