It's 12 o'clock, the sun is shining, and I'm going home. Planning on barbecuing a joint of pork shoulder this afternoon and taking life easy with a few ice cold beers. Spending the rest of the weekend in Shakespeare's birth place, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Morning everyone. Happy 4th to all those in the USA.

Just went for an hour and a half walk in the rain to get some Ingress time in.
Came back to the hotel, bought a beer from the vending machine and sitting down to drink it while the rest of the family is asleep.

Rote memorization does not make for fluency in a language.

Where everyone is sleeping tonight. We took the girls out of school for a day trip to sight see and stay overnight in a ryokan (traditional style Japanese inn).

Not all of us are gone. Most places are on vacation today. Not much to do with all this rain.
Good news is, when we set off an ungodly amount of fireworks in theory nothing should smolder.... at least here in this area.
Pretty sure that some areas will still go up instantly. -
@g.jacobse super dry here too, fireworks still went off without a hitch! (granted, not near the quantity nor public use of them you'll see)

True, some people here have been fussed at already for setting them off. There is a limit - i feel - but at nearly 10:30pm,.. a bit late for such. Since my boys go to bed at 9pm.
