it's finally hit. a local town that up to this point had only about 4 cases of the big C has gone from 1 to 18 in 3 days.
They're shipping the real sick ones off to a hospital 3 hours away. that's where i'd end up. stuff that, i'm working remotely for a few days.
I live super remote in the middle of nowhere. If I got sick, i'd have to go.... 20 minutes away. LOL
Screw that "first world" BS. The healthcare there seems awful. We always pick on the US, but it's not the only one that can't get its sh*t together.

All the best in your attempts to avoid it!
We're going to get smashed when our borders open up.Only as bad as it would have been before. But with a lot of time to prepare for it.
Even with delta here, we barely notice. Impact is super low being full open.

I'm actually organizing files and folders on my admin system. So much accumulated garbage. So many powershell files/scripts scattered everywhere.

I feel your pain. I finally put all of my scripty type stuff into a repo on Gitlab.

We're going to get smashed when our borders open up.Yep. All you can do is look after you & yours.
Thing I don't understand, NSW cases dropped from 1000+ to 200+ when they hit 80% but in Vic we're still up in the 1000+ range, it's barely dropped. Don't understand that at all?

Well, none of them are mine in any way... But that would be nice.

I have a simple solution to that. If I look at it and it's useful, It's mine (credits and URL I got it from preserved, of course).
If I write it, it's mine, and it goes into a private Gitlab repo.
If it has sensitive data involved, then it goes into a Git Repo on a local folder that is backed up to a server nightly... but It's still mine, lol.

I've been considering doing much of the same. I've been collecting some scripts and making one or two of my own and seems like the logical thing to do. Just need to sit down and get on with it.

PTO day today for required pre holiday clean out. Man I've collected more junk this past year than I thought

@gjacobse @dafyre you guys can actually do the writing part. I'm trying to learn, but it feels like when I tried to learn to sight read music.
LOL - Reading sheet music... Oh I remember trying - and failing. And most of my scripts a unskilled monkey could write.. very crude and mostly simple.

I finally graduated from unskilled monkey to monkey with writing like a doctor's handwriting.
I can still sight read music and even compose my own pieces when the mood strikes... it's just... the mood usually doesn't last long enough to finish any thing more than a few bars.

My first thought about that......
Just a few bars (hic)

what a darn shaky day on the roads yesterday.
started to move out from behind a van, had had a good look up the road before hand, nothing there, stuck me head out, whoa, a bloody 4WD coming at me.
coming home, had a DH tailgate me at 100kmh/60mph most of the way home on roads with no one else on 'em. this person had a real problem with space and distance, just irrationally close.
i slowed down and let 'em pass, then i did something im not proud of, but was so pissed off.
i got the jack handle ready at the T intersection we both had to stop at just in case.
I just cannot stomach tailgaters, the action makes no sense. if you can see you're coming up on someone, plan your move so you spend as little time behind them as possible. don't come up behind and just wait there hoping this guy will speed up. -
Taking the day off to go do filming in the mountains. Just waiting for my rental car to arrive. And charging up camera batteries. Doing the drive from Leon to Matagalpa today!

Enduring a stubborn 5yo who insists that her tooth feels like it's ready to fall out but that it won't come out no matter how much she twists and turns and messes around with it.... At this rate my jokes about having to blend her food are looking more like a reasonable option...
