Just got back from a customer ; They called and said their tablets aren't working. Can't ping or see them online, tablets are showing offline at the device itself.
get to the site, and find out that the Wifi Adapter has been shut off. . .(disabled)
Not a problem right? just turn it back on (enable) right?Nope - they use a version of Aloha that creates it's own users and permissions for those users.. and the user that was set to auto logon - is a local account and doesn't have permissions to do anything.
I ran
net user <username> /active:no
This turns off the auto logon for this user, so that we can login with a different user.. I ran it both as Admin, and local.
Got an access denied (x2) - then was told by my boss that I'm using the wrong command.. becausenet user
is only for over the network commands.... but he couldn't tell me the actual command that he's used. . . which I can't find anythign exceptnet user
but hey what do I know.Tried enabling the Wifi Adapter with cmd - No luck there access denied.
I laughed my ass off the whole hour drive back with their tablets.
Happy Friday Right?
now My boss and other coworker (who's been here longer than me) are re-doing everything I've already done 2 times while I was on site...
lol is it 5:00 yet ? -

Insignificant to the greater goings-on of the world, but a small victory for me

Turning off everything....
US power, water, Internet, car insurance, house insurance...
About to shut off streaming services that don't exist here like Hulu
Boy this feels good.
-
OMG, no way to cancel Hulu. They block logins once they think your account is out of the country. So once you leave, they won't accept anything, including US logins, to cancel the account! And all customer service is kept behind a the paywall, so there is literally zero customer service options! Total 100% fraud!

THat's pretty much what I expect from a Disney property. I have no qualms turning them in to the CC police. Man if I didn't hate Disney before!

Can you access www.dailywire.com? If so, I might consider a move.

Yeah, I can see that.

I found a number online and attempted to use that. IF that was really Hulu, then they really closed my account. Fingers crossed.
They took a survey at the end of the call and when I left feedback as to the issues, a recorded message just popped up and said "incorrect information" and ended my feedback.
Disney to a tee.

Your boss and co-worker are on a journey of discovery where they find out you cant disable a currently logged in account. At least that's my first guess to what is going on.

Even using netplwiz it gives me access denied. There's no permissions that are possible.
we typically send a remote command for this.

Not too bad. We live in the bush so all we have to do is wear masks, so it's not really a problem.
The kids are in Melb and are going nutty. Apparently from what they say the mood down there is pretty low. People are becoming rude and angry.
If this goes any longer than it has to, I reckon shit will start hitting fans.
Queen's Brithday hol I'm guessing??
