Good morning. Woke up early and didn't feel like going back to sleep. Time to get some work done before I head out to get that COVID shot!
-
About to watch a RedHat webinar about configuring network settings via CLI.
-
Finally getting coffee number 2, it was a late night.
-
About to make coffee #2.
Slower kind of day. -
Coffee two, kid is awake which is nice for a change. So she's dressed and ready to go.

Walked in and my manager jumped on my back like a spider monkey about this install that I rescheduled - because none of the pin pads work like they are supposed to.
So we pushed the install another week. -

So we pushed the install another week.Sounds like the start of our day, we had a network outage first thing this morning in addition to multiple remote locations down. Fun with wind storms around here, gusting up to 60mph, made driving to the client site more interesting than normal.

I have the power!
But only because we support an equipment renting company who have lots of generators onhand. They had to hookup a generator at one of their stores today.

@scotth Got power at all my sites, BUT wind blew the coax cable right off one of my offices so they're on backup Internet (Translation, go work at home why are you even IN the office) till Spectrum can reattach the cable.

Hacking up a browser and old Flash plugin so one of my techs can access ancient hardware that uses flash.

Yeah, that sounds interesting! Tell us more!
240U that at least 6 racks of gear. What do you do with the workloads running on it? Are shutting everything down during the move?
Are all the equipment in the racks getting pulled out and then rewired in the new location or are you moving complete racks?
