Filling out my Phone Expense report for the last 3 months.
You have... phone expenses?
why do you seem so confused?
I use my personal Cell phone, and they pay me half of my bill every month. I collect 3 months at a time typically in the 2nd month. You need a report for that? We have poeple do stuff like that, but we just pay them.
Exactly - show one bill and just pay half that, company is done.
Yeah, You would expect. but they require this anytime we get money. regardless if it's reoccurring or not.

yeah, we have to fill out an expense report for any time we get money from the company outside of our pay checks.. IDK man, I didn't think it was that weird.
Sadly - it's not, just unnecessary for a reoccuring expense like that.
Hell, they should just make it SUPER easy and just pay a specific amount regardless of your cost.. .like $50/m period... then they don't need any paperwork from you.
They would still need paper work to say that they paid us for x .
-
Yeah it must have to do with accounting for state taxes or direct to customer billing sorts of things.
At least in my case it appears to be a matter of direct to customer billing (my employer floats the customer) but pays me direct for an cost of working for them sort of thing.

I just checked with them, and we do this too. the flat rate just so happens to be half of my bill. but it's still required to fill out the expense form, for Tracking is what I was told. that's all corporate stuff though .

LOL - more like it's a loophole to keep from paying it - you forget to submit the paperwork and they don't pay you...
they could easily put this into their payroll system as an auto pay thing.

probably. I wasn't told about it for my first 9 months of employment, and they paid the entire 9 months back to me, so now I keep up on it.

@scottalanmiller SOP for Spectrum, don't ask how I know
I had a doozy last week. Spectrum replaced a modem, said the internet is working and left without the client having time to test anything. Here they didn't add their static IP address, and I spent an hour on the phone with a tier-1 person who insisted they couldn't have a static IP because they're not being billed for it. That place was on a different ISP that was purchased by Specturm and now Spectrum has to honor the original plans, but try to convince a tier-1 tech of this, forgetaboutit.

And that will only last until the contract is up. Then, the gouging can begin!

Little earthquake here in DFW.

Its like the movie "Betteljuice" today, except I typed or said Spectrum too much yesterday. Two Spectrum connected offices down; one the cable is "hanging off the building", and no idea on the other. Luckily only 1 person in each so no major impact but going to be a while before fixed.
