What Are You Doing Right Now

I just got an ad on SW that told me that I could have won a car "in this discussion" but didn't because I was blocking ads. Except.... I wasn't blocking ads and there was no contest for a car.
WTF
-
Just got another one telling me to whitelist them and adblock everything else. But.... why are they only telling this to the people that are NOT blocking them?
-
Installed Ad Blocker, that fixed the issue with all of the things telling me that my Ad Blocker was a problem. Strange that they would make such a point of telling us that Ad Blocker would improve the page. Now it loads faster and isn't so cluttered.
-
I left on the thing where Ad Blocker keeps "acceptable" ads, just to see what it keeps and what it removes.
-
Wow, installing Ad Blocker (and removing a few things that FF doesn't need anymore) really sped up my FF experience!!

Morning people

Good morning Joy!

Playing some Tropico 4 here. Just got done relaxing with the family and watching some Modern Family.

Ugh, monitors just went off. Time to build some database clusters.

My Firefox issues are seriously fixed now. This is awesome. Might have been LastPass or Okta that had plugins installed there. Thankfully they are gone now.

What issues did you have?

It would freeze up for long periods of time.

Working on the lab and playing a video of someone playing "Tex Murphy Mean Streets" from DOS in 1989. I own the game but just don't feel like taking the time to play it, but I won't to get through all of the story before going on to some of the newer Tex Murphy titles. The first two are just too old to bother playing myself when people have made nice videos of them.

Building a MongoDB database.

Installing Windows 10 tech preview in a new Parallels VM.
Need a windows interface on my laptop not dependent on the internet (i.e. I usually just use gotomypc to hit my desktop) for my upcoming trip to Japan.
While I will have great internet access at my in-laws and a wifi hotspot with me at other times, the lag to the US can be highly annoying at times.

Starbucks in Schaumburg has good wifi..
