Just got into the office today, Son decided to do a back flip last night while I was taking the garbage cans to the curb. Broke his Wrist (Radius Fracture) spent 3 hours in the ER and 3.5 at the Othro doc's to get a cast put on.

OMG, that's awful. Glad that it isn't any worse, though.

Same here. At 14 I snapped the outer bone on my left forearm clean in half and dislocated the inner one on top of my hand. It made my legs quit working.
I was quoting (badly) from the Replacements. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. -

Yeah that's what I said - Atleast it was a Wrist and not his back or neck..

My wife is pissed about the scar I have from a surgery as it's healed to be nearly unnoticeable while she barely burns herself taking something out of the oven and it has marked her for life.
-
If I press my finger onto my wife's forearm, it leaves a white spot.
0 tolerance for pain. If a nurse asks her to measure pain from 1-10, it's on a logarithmic scale.
I was in electrical maintenance in the 90's and I have white scars all over my arms. Steam burns, cuts, you name it. -

Reconciling personal budget
Same... and then weeping openly until my wife's next paycheck hits, lol.
This would imply a lack of budget or an ignoring of said budget. Not reconciling.
Actually, no. We are getting better about sticking to a budget. I get paid once a month, and wifey gets paid twice a month. It's just depressing when there's $20 left in the bank with another week to go to her paycheck. We pay all the bills at the beginning of the month, so there's fewer surprises after her second check lands.
I loved getting paid monthly. I hate weekly pay.

We didn't get the house there was a higher offer
The housing market seems crazy considering how many jobs have been lost, etc.. somehow people have extra money to burn when buying houses.
Because rates are low as fuck, and as bad as the unemployment rate is, there are still more than 75% of Americans still working.

Apparently Colorado is in a housing crisis - the marajana shop owners are using their cash to buy homes at inflated prices (because they are competing against each other) because they can't deposit their money into federally backed banks.
There are more things they can do that are less risky. Especially if they are driving a bubble.

Even just normal people, during a work crisis real estate is seen as a safe place to invest.

I have direct deposit so I'm mostly indifferent. When paid by paper check, yes, monthly is better.

@Romo @melvinsilva and I have been supporting an ISP networking issue for an hour already. I made coffee seconds before the call came in, but didn't have time to grab it. So have been sans cafe all this time. My wife just brought it to me. So I have my first cold coffee now.
