Shopping / planning out a new HF antenna system as the one I was using was just pulled down and completely destroyed. sigh
Oh well.. no HF digital work tonight. I suppose the upside is a 100' $40 piece of feed line (coax) saved more damage that i have. I may have lost the antenna, mast and feed line, but I didn't lose the radio, tuner or power supply.
Think I'll ask Bob for some help though...

Setting up an old OptiPlex to install Fedora on. This will be a test server as a RSync target.
Was getting very poor speeds using a WD ShareSpace as the target so though would test with a PC/Linux see what i get from my ReadyNAS

Deducing why only 1 of 12 VM's fail to backup and after updating the CBT driver I now have a Resource Control error on 1 node.

I've dealt with a number of WD network storage products through the years, and they always underperform, painfully so. I can almost guarantee the PC sync will at least go so fast as the slowest choke point, while a WD NAS product, well, yeah.

setup a linux machine and got 40-50mb speeds instead of the 1-2 to the WD.

That 1-2mb/sec is actually good for a WD NAS product, I've had quite a few that would only do kb/s. Guess what I throw out asap when I see one.
