For all you coffee drinkers
I'll take the Kona, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Colombia, or maybe the Italian Roast, please.
Leave all the swiss water (decaf), and the fluffy flavours. -

@siringo Well mostly it's been putting out the daily fires of the panic merchants and drama llamas, with a side of trying not to get toasted in the rather warm few weeks we've had.
We're almost the polar opposite (rainwise) out here. Had a small but intense patch of rain blow through yesterday but that's all we've had for 3, maybe 4 months.
Can't imagine the amount of water sitting in Townsville now. Our high average is a bit under 550mm Per year. Townsville is at 1000mm for this month alone, and it's only 8 days in to February!!!!
How's things over your way?
@nadnerB Howdy. Been dry, but it's summer, so pretty normal. Had some rain the last few days, only enough to water the grass really. They said on the news last night that an area the size of Victoria is under water up north in QLD, I can't imagine that, that's bloody massive.
This flood is going to make a huge impact on this country I reckon, they say they've lost 10 of 1000's of head of stock. -
gotta look at a 'twitchy mouse in RDS sessions' problem tomorrow.

When I was a kid we didn't get snow days unless there was a snowmageddon! And that was because our parents would drive us.

I still drive my kids to school, but there is no point when the schools are closed

EASILY convinced a new client not to place a new server directly on a public IP with port 3389 open. I thought it was going to be a battle. Have them on board for a VPN.

Why complicate it? Or is this not something that really needs to be public?

@JaredBusch I honestly assumed that it was no longer a good idea in terms of security. I have done it before with a NAT mapping and it worked fine. What is your view on this?

We just had a thread on this last week about how RDP already is inside a VPN and the whole "need another VPN" thing is mostly just security theater based off of fake threats. Essentially all RDP risks come from having the port "too open" and leaving users exposed with really insecure passwords. No one every breaks into RDP, they always just guess the password. And if the VPN is secured the same, it's equally risky.
