Well, so far, longer than expected... might have something to do with the degraded RAID array

How big are the individual files? 4Gb/s bonded generally has a lot of inefficiencies so is often unable to peak over 3.2Gb/s and you need a very special case to get there. Bonding isn't all that efficient.

Are you hitting network saturation, though, or do you have an IOPS issue?

Yikes - no running water? Have a bucket? Ask a few locals to see if this happens often... might need to grab a few containers for storing water should it happen again. Dont' want to say buy a case if you end up having to leave it since you are pending mobile.
