And I work with restaurants so I know exactly how this goes, The idea is so that you just come to enjoy the food and atmosphere and drinks whatever else, and then they hit you with the bill at the end.
Because if you to their restaurant then you should afford whatever you order - even if they hide the prices.

Drink menus are a bit different, as I expect to pay $8-12 for a mix drink.
But food! Like come on, tell me if I'm spending $20 or $40 on a steak (as an example).
Just looking at one menu for an option for lunch. Iceberg Wedge Salad - No price
WTF! Is it a $8 salad or a $14 salad?!
