2"x6" x 4' plank came straight down through the ceiling.

      Who threw it?

Is there a tornado in your area? Generally these types of things don't just "go flying".

Maybe a former repair that was badly done since it does look nearly square? I feel like maybe they put it up and just painted over it, they didn't even bother trying to do much anything else

It was a lot of pressure as the plank hit it.

Finally cleaning out old emails. One of the those emails is a request to upgrade from 256 MB to 512 MB. It was the dimension 1100 or 2400 desktop.

Speaking of E-mail, it still blows my mind that in an Exchange environment, send E-mail as an alias isn't supported. Even MDaemon can do that.

Is this a ice ball from space situation, à la Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious Universe/World?

@scottalanmiller You may need to have someone check your house out for water damage. I know how much rain you've had. That shouldn't ever happen.

We know how it happened, just crazy that there was a loose board there.

and the day creeping up .
