So the unthinkable has happened, I got a Samsung Galaxy S9 and am testing out Android.
Why oh why Samsung? I hate Samsung Android phones. They are the worst. Love my Google Pixel 2XL
I had a Google device before and didn't like it. Samsung is the one that everyone keeps saying is so good.
I hate with a passion all the bloatware Samsung puts on their devices, and I do not like their interface. LG is good, so is Motorola. I like the new Pixel 2XL. Had the Google Nexus phone and I really liked it.
Be careful with that M work around here.
I never got updates with Samsung, I got updates with LG for my Andriod Phones. I had the V10, V20, K7, G6. Wife has the V30. I went to the Pixel 2 XL after my G6. My friend has the Motorola and he gets updates on a regular basis as well, only reason I mentioned them. Samsung has shown that it doesn't care where Google wants to take its phones. I believe LG keeps their phone as close to stock Andriod as possible. I will customize my Andriod how I like it. I don't want Samsung's garbage on there, just to have to work around it.
Who was your carrier - Verizon actively stops updates from happening on their phones.
My wife as a Galaxy S8 and gets monthly updates, she's on AT&T. -
Sprint seems to be painfully slow about pushing updates to the phones.

My iPhone 6s is cosmetically in good shape but the battery is shot. Aftermarket batteries don't seem to hold up either. I thought about giving Android a try (again) but can't make up my mind.

If you have Amazon Prime I like their Prime exclusive phones. They're unlocked (not CMDA though), so you can use them on most carriers. They also tend to be decent phones for very little, so the investment is low if it doesn't work out.
Here is the current one: https://www.amazon.com/LG-charge-Unlocked-T-Mobile-Exclusive.

You mean you don't just add "everyone" to the "administrators" group?!

Local Users and Groups Preferences makes it pretty easy.

I'm removing Windows clients from the domain controller on the student network. A domain controller is not needed anymore. I will be managing Windows clients via SaltStack.

For now, I'm only using Salt to manage chocolatey packages and to send some PowerShell commands.
