About to put in a place a test phone that real users will use :D. I expect they will find quality superior to what they're currently experiencing, but I want some field test opinions.

Are you trunking in your old PBX to the VoIP one?
VoIP. Old PBX actually is VoIP, well, pseudo-voip (it connects to the PSTN using a T1 rather than SIP). This test phone only talks to my Vultr instance with FreePBX.

That's not pseduo-VOIP. T1 isn't IP based.

Of course, you could have a VOIP to T1 converter in place...
http://www.pcliquidations.com/p14658-altigen-max2000-ip-pbx The CSU/DSU for the T1 connects into a card on the Altigen server. Phones (Altigen IP 720s) connect via SIP (though Altigen uses non-standard ports for it).
