Family in Houston just started to flood. They've been okay till now. But house is flooding now. They are in one of the abandoned evacuate zones - evac is required but wasn't allowed until the area was already closed and the flood waters are so high they are in a no emergency services zone. So no evac assistance.

Cute. You must evacuate, but you're not allowed to go anywhere. What is up with local governments in Texas?

Cute. You must evacuate, but you're not allowed to go anywhere. What is up with local governments in Texas?
Governor had told them to go but local officials told people to stay. Now it is too late and the National guard isn't allowed to go get them.

Bayou is over it's banks. Two dams have been opened to protect the city. But they empty into the bayou. So downstream is screwed.

Sleep can never exist in the same space as a server being down. They are each others arch-nemeses.

Side note, waking up, drinking coffee, gradually getting into my work for the day.

Cleaning my ears out with soap. HR doesn't like the SysAdmin team much right now... And they dropped an F-Bomb after they thought we'd hung up.

This morning started with a T1 outage, that luckily "fixed" itself in about 20 minutes. Of course, there's no way for me to have know when it first went down.

Tuesday at 9 AM. Server down... Screw you Tuesday.

@jaredbusch @gjacobse So far so good. Just done a clean install and got all the drivers and BIOS updated.
Waiting for colleague to decided how we are going to license office on them
then install everything I need (Well can remember off hand first) -
