Looking for scanner/mobile computers to replace the aging Symbol/Motorola MC9090 w/ Windows CE. The only way we can get programs loaded onto these is with ActiveSync and that was retired back in WS 2003. Unfortunately, they have not changed the OS that much, which is causing us a headache as we are looking to retire the system that we use these for next year. All the scanners need to do is connect to a server by wifi/telnet, scan 1-D barcodes, and have a number pad.
Anybody have any suggestions?
We've started to try some Android ones.

At our Colo, they keep having power issues, so make sure systems are on the good leg before they cut it off for maint this morning.
Which bugs the crap out of me, its a colo, this kinda work needs to be done on a sunday. They seem cheap to not pay for OT on the electricians.
It is on our books to look for a new colo.
Did I mention its the second problem with the same PDU source as 2 months ago? -
