Terrible thunderstorms here and my phone keeps going off for a flood warning. My internet will go out I am sure of it.

Deciding on what Ubuntu to install 16.04.2 or 17.04????

        1. Always go with the latest!

That reminds me,.. I need to run updates on the two Korora installs I have..

I generally do every time I shut down.

When turning off for the night, just do this and it takes care of things...

        dnf -y update ; shutdown -h now

        That is an option.

Looks like I"m starting a list of grips with Korora.

In order for me to use the Jabra Headset with Skype I have to change the audio output at the start of a (Skype) call, and change it back when done... I also can't just pick up the headset and answer a Skype call when one comes in.

It's a 'little thing' But annoying never the less.

I am thankful for our Electricians that came on site and rewired a whole wall in our server room to get the wiring up to code, and the amperage up to snuff too...

All live and without bringing any of our servers down. (They had extensions cords for our UPSes to keep stuff up).

I would assume that the server is still online and running and you just can't get to it because the ISP is down.

Seems odd that you'd be running critical work out of an office with bad power.

No way to move it. Literally no known way to move it, lots of people have looked into it. We were ACTUALLY working on doing a massive move and it has been powered down for a long time. It came up, we were starting to move, and it went down. It's not up long enough to move!

Is it a case of being able to move the hardware to a different location with more stable power? or does it have to remain there?

We are afraid to even move it because it is so old and is fragile hardware wise.

We are afraid to even move it because it is so old and is fragile hardware wise.

                                            and there goes my power....

Dammit... WHILE I was trying to do remote work that is insanely critical. AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Not safe to move physically. That's why it is where it is.

that makes for a scary situatuion
