Sorry. It's the mini fridge, not the oven.
A fridge under a cooktop? That fridge motor must work overdrive when cooking.
Why? There is no heat under a cooktop.

Just got in from a day out in the city. We took a bus around the city and saw a bunch of stuff. Was pretty cool.

Had plenty of excitement on my lunch break... Free adventure with every meal. I got home and my wife had just about finished making lunch. She was warming mine up in the oven, and set it aside. She wanted to warm hers a little more, so she decided to cook it a bit longer.
Well, lo, and behold her mexican pizza, for lack of a better word, began to swell, and it made contact with the top flames (gas oven) and caught fire, lol. She opened the oven and I was like: Is that a fire?"
It was just too funny.

Funny but assuming everybody is okay as well.

So one of the members of leadership here pushes people til they snap, and this guy just snapped. Threw a glass jar, and a jar of peanut butter. The glass jar hit the cubicle wall, ricocheted and hit the wall and shattered. One of the QAs got a piece of glass in his eye. The hole in the wall was from the peanut butter jar. No, I'm not in security but I do know how to handle myself. Building security was up there with us (also a friend of mine) and was trying to get him to just leave, because she knows about the guy who causes all the issues here, and she's not a fan, but she had a job to do.
We got him to the elevators and we're on the 12th floor, so it takes 10-20 seconds to call an elevator. My roommate (former military) had my back, and we got him on the elevator. The QA, who last week called him a crackhead because he came in sweating profusely because of a steroid he was on that he was taking after just getting out of the hospital, walked through some double-doors by the elevator, and he started to charge. I pinned him back against the back wall of the elevator. After we got him downstairs, the guard let me handle getting him off the property and I stayed with him and helped him calm down. Then I took him to the bus hub and went back upstairs.
I managed to come out of all this looking good to all parties included, and I wasn't hurt. I got behind him and locked him in a bear hug. He was a hysterical, crying and screaming, but I got him calmed down. Overall, no one was totally innocent in the situation, but as much as we all (security included) wanted to let him go after the TL, I didn't want him going to jail for assault because he was in berserker mode.
He spoke to some other people from here last night and I've learned he's apologized for reacting the way he did, and knows he was wrong to react that way, but I just wanted to calm him down. Work is not the place to handle things like that. So all is calm today, but this place is toxic. I'll be glad to be getting out soon, hopefully.
But this is the third situation in 3 weeks (albeit the worst) where this one TL has had people blow up against him, and those are not even close to isolated or individual incidents, all about one person. So I was told corporate legal is getting involved, and now there's a decent chance they'll shut the whole program down. Waiting to see what happens.

Yeah. We're good. Still trying to not laugh... because I just had to let one of our Plant guys into the server rooms to check the Fire extinguishers, lol.

Sheesh... Everybody should start reporting the TL to management... Go above his head if they need to. No reason for a guy to push people 'til they snap like that.

Now: looking up Dell MD specs because I want to know if what the storage IT guy here is proposing is accurate; a raid 1+0 being slower than 6 raid 1s with a pool defined to use all of them, which sounds f***ing identical to a raid 10. This storage guy makes my head hurt because I really disagree with how he makes things so complex.

Ow. My head hurts just trying to figure that out.

Yeah, sounds like he doesn't know what RAID 10 is.

They have. His temp agency knows all about him. Our corporate HQ knows about him. He's just been teflon to-date, and no one has any idea why...it makes no sense.

Temp agency doesn't care, they only care that HQ wants to keep paying for him.
