the graphic is downright confusing. Somehow your normal network gets directly to the internet, but your SIP has to go to an ISP.. lol
Right, I get if the phone system is bypassing the firewall and headed out to the internet. they didn't want to deal with configuring any firewall rules etc.
But to drop another ISP icon there.....
This I don't understand. SIP Trunks are pretty easy to configure for the firewall.
These vendors are playing on fears - real or imagined.
Deceptive marketing is a real problem... especially for stupid people.

So someone from the IT staff at the hospital emailed me. I replied. Then I got an email back saying that they are using ChoiceMail One and mymessage is being held because it wasn't on their list of addresses......
So I had to go into this portal and type my name and the reason for the email and then fill out a captcha. And now it has to be manually approved. Seriously?

Simple answer, don't respond and if anyone asks say that they refused your email.

Next you'll need to print out the form, and mail it to them along with a copy of the e-mail.

Ya that's not spam filtering. That's just refusing email.

Exactly. You responded. They refused. Not your issue at that point.

And they sent to you, so that you were not in their list is REALLY not your problem. If I got that I would assume that the message from THEM was SPAM and that this was a phishing attack.

Ya how is the recipient not in their list? But tbis is par for the course with them. Luckily I'm not helping that dr any longer so I don't have to deal with them.

Yeah, I would just call their IT and report it as a phishing attack and tell them to email you when it's been resolved.

Yeah, I would just call their IT and report it as a phishing attack and tell them to email you when it's been resolved.
Or leave a message on the phone for like the receptionist or one of the doctors saying that you have reason to believe that their email has been compromised and that as a known recipient getting attacked from their system that you need to move to another contact media because this one can't be trusted.

Might freeze here tonight. Argh.

They are calling for 2-4 inches of snow (possible).
So it's off to get Bread and Milk.... We don't need milk yet,.. but we need bread. But - we need groceries anyway.

Just did.

Just like @Dashrender, I'm in the snow, except I still have a drive home which, according to Waze, is going to be at least 55 minutes long. I'm not doing that. I'm working on the backup server. It sucks. Veritas Backup Exec. We all know it;s just a reskin of the Symantec bullshit. I hate it so much.

@wirestyle22 /home is required, definitely. But it would not be its own filesystem 90% of the time. Why did it get it's own in the first place is the real question. How did you get into this situation?
/home is always on its own if your disk is larger than 50GB.

We are getting snow here pretty heavy but it's the light super fluffy stuff. And it's 18° and dropping.

Snow has started.
