@MattSpeller Is this the first snow of the year, when everybody completely forgets how to drive in the snow?

Fast and reckless is the only way to drive in the snow.

      oh don't forget drunk!

Me and my AWD wagon plan on doing exactly that if it ever snows here.

When it actually does snow in Georgia, generally there isn't enough of the stuff to matter.

The classic joke for northern truck drivers who get pulled over after it snows in the southern states. "You call this snow, I just drove through the Great Lakes snow belt, this ain't no thing!"

You'd figure Vancouver would be used to snow...

The lower mainland and southern Vancouver Island get nearly no snow. We are barely even Canadian. 😞

Same as Seattle. Very little snow.

          Yep.

Go 50 miles west of Seattle and you're in feet of snow on Mt. Ranier. Crazy fast weather changes over quite short distances.

Today is the anniversary of the repeal of the horrible 18th amendment to the US Constitution... Prohibition. A truly dark time in our country's history which lasted 13 years. Hooray for the 21st amendment!

Or did they ever really know how to start with?

Around here, that's my go to. They simply don't know how to drive to begin with.

^^^ This is true. Need proof? Watch how stupidly people drive when it is cloudy and looks like it might rain... they go all slow, with hazard blinkers on, all before the first drop of rain falls. Snow??? Fuggedaboutit.

Getting socket hangups and other weirdness. I screen shotted it but you can see how well that worked.

I'm cleaning out some old backups that aren't needed any more (1 off runs) from my Synology.

Wondering why my XenOrchestra box isn't able to mount the NFS shares in rw mode? Mounts them just fine, but it's read only. Time to manually mount them and do a local mount for my remotes.
