Took the kids trick or treating in the neighborhood earlier and had the court down the street offering Fireball to the adults.
+1 for the neighborhood offering booze.
-5 for it being Fireball, because I am not @DashrenderI like to take credit for starting a drinkfest in our neighborhood each Halloween.

Running MS Updates on a desktop,... Installing O2016 and considering a SSD drive for my laptop. It currently has a 1TB drive,.. My data folder is about 190GB - mainly photos which need to be moved and archived.
Do I go with a 1TB or should I go less... Hmmmm...
~$230 for a 1TB Mushkin SSD, seems reasonable. But if you aren't even using close to that, why bother to spend more for a higher capacity drive?
About what I was thinking. Just running WinDirStat I see that most of my used space is a backup of my mother-in-laws computer... 90% of which is photos...
Over all I'm running 688 GB free of 889GB - Seems to me if I pushed the backups off o the NAS where they are suppose to be, I would be fine with a 500GB
Which you might find for as little as $100 so save the extra money.
Amazon Prime showing a tad over $100
Need to look at NewEgg or Tigerdirect.

Automatic partition table creation / manipulation of raw disk images using /dev/loop, sfdisk and parted. Sounds easy enough, but there are dozens of possible pitfalls:
- source image file not found / no access
- target image file issues
- underlying disk full
- boundaries
- optimal sector alignment
- ...

You have my sympathy! I went through a bit of that (way less technical) when dealing with FOG

I was dead sure that I still have a Chieftec DA-01 somewhere, but I can't find it.
So I'm looking for a new case now. Saw a post from @moka here at ML mentioning Fractal Design, they look pretty great. I don't need anything that looks like a Predator or Transformer. But I also really hate cases where you may loose two or three fingers just from looking at them.
Any thoughts about the Fractal Design Define S?

200c and 750d also quite nice for the moneyThe Corsair looks interesting, but I don't want to spend more than EUR 70-80 maybe.
There won't be much inside: PSU, GPU (Radion Rx 480, ~25cm long), be quiet Pure Rock CPU cooler (Height: 155mm). Storage will be a M2 SSD, maybe 2 or 3 additional spindles, ATX mainboard.

http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-sI've built two builds with Fractal Design cases. They always come out clean. Lots of options for cable management too.

Here's a review video (in German). I'm afraid that case would be mostly empty, would look a bit odd

I like their ITX case. I used that for a friend in the past.

hehe, yes, but I've already ordered the board, standard ATX.

@coliver I've built a couple systems with NZXT cases now, and really really like them. They're large, but the internal space is amazing to have compared to the cases I've used in the past.

What about the quality? Thin metal? Sharp corners?

Rolled edges or edges deburred all the way around, no splinters or cut fingers. Metal is a little thin for the size of the cases I've worked with, but they also almost always have thick plexiglass windows on one side of the case, and the opposite side of the case is sturdy. The interiors have always been painted (their mid-range generally), and even with the side panels off are solidly built. No bending from exerting a little to much force. I really like the additional internal fan mount to provide better airflow across the graphics card(s) and top of the power supply as well.
