When reassembling a laptop, how many screws should I have left over?

Anything less than 4 and you're trying to hard.

That was hilarious until I realized that my new truck is in the shop being worked on.

Ouch - the hard facts of reality.

"Hilarious" to "Damn near pooped myself" in 1 second flat.

When I get that thing I'm going to check all the god damn bolts myself.

Vote for glue. Forget about nuts and bolts.

Glue? bah, either sonic weld it or use silicon. Two ends of the spectrum I admit.... now that I think about it, who do we not like? I'll make a sonic welding machine 😛

Our new dishwasher sucks a bit: when the program finishes, it beeps five or six times. Not that bad, but if you don't turn it off afterwards, it will beep again every few minutes...

Now the "eco" program runs for nearly 3 hours and I had to wait for it to finish before going to bed.

New rule: Do not turn on the dishwasher past 21:00h.

Well, unlike a truck, if you skip some screws in a laptop, it's very unlikely that someone could die.

Wait for it? From the man who wields a soldering iron with skill?

I would like to think that's the attitude of the mechanic whom I am currently trusting my life to. I think I will verify it anyway, just in case.

Well, clothes aren't something you want to to just sit in the machine when the load it done, so there's a significant difference.

If your dishwasher is close to your bedroom, I suppose the delay would be something you wouldn't want.
In my case, the dishwasher is near where I watch TV. I don't want it running while I'm watching TV, but my bed room is a long ways away, so running at 2 AM is great, can't hear it, does not wake us up.

Super silent model. Very hard to hear at all.

But... I just had the following discussion:
Me: I could get rid of that damn beeping with just a bit of soldering
Becci: Honey, no! And also don't think about installing Linux on the dishwasher.

                          Hmpf.

                                Hmpf.

So you don't want the beeping, but she doesn't want you to kill the beeping.. you are sunk bro.

Mine has the option to delay 2, 4, or 6 hours. make it run at 2 AM, works for me.

From tech to tech: sure. But my wife doesn't like that function for whatever reason 😉 She's also not using it on our washing machine (the one for clothes)

Reading a MSP contract with one of their clients and formulating a response.

Your challenge today is to somehow insert the word "trebuchet" in your response.

Well the point of my response is to convince the person to become my client and dump the MSP model for the ITSP Consulting/Implementing model.
