@JaredBusch we are planning an IKEA kitchen soon in Dallas.
Huh does that mean we have a kitchen to redo in Dallas?
Yup. Every inch of that thing needs replacing. It's a disaster of cardboard.

Waiting for the kids to wake up. Then driving to New York.
Fun times, how long of a trip do you have on the road today?
Five hours of road time

We were planning IKEA stuff unless someone wants to do customs.

haha... you'd be the client, you'd have to "want" customs.

We spent about $14k at IKEA, but that included all the appliances.
For the curious, IKEA apliances in the US are private label Whirlpool

He could build them in Texas, too.

The equipment it takes to build them isn't exactly movable and your garage is WAY too small to move it too. Well he could build crappy cabinets from premade stuff from like Lowes but that wouldn't be any better (or actually worse) than what you already have.

But it would be new, and with more holes..

Manning the fort at home due to a sick wife and sticking in work here and there as I can. I'm thankful for having a flexible job!

Short of going pure custom from a cabinet maker, I really like the quality, options, simplicity, and price from IKEA.

Yeah. We like them a lot.

@art_of_shred has built some amazing kitchens (he used to do custom cabinetry full time) and I have beautiful custom kitchen (well it's not fully done yet but about 90% there). And I still want Ikea cabinets (I like the metal ones, I really don't like wood stuff that much).
-
I like wood, because it's "warmer", but metal is so easy to clean.

I would love to have metal cabinets. But I need new counter tops first. But now you've made me want metal cabinets too...
