I got up at 7:30 am in Dallas, drove all day and arrived in Indianapolis at 3:00 am. Doing some catch up before turning in. I'm visiting @scale tomorrow here in town, trying to be there in about six hours, but seven is more likely.
Dang Jesus. You should stop by and visit next time you are in town. At least grab a good German Beer with me!
Better come over to my place to get some real German beer
We have a "German" restaurant here who insist Warsteiner is the best. I wanted to burn the place down in the name of German people everywhere.
Warsteiner isn't bad, but it's like saying Ballantine's is a great whiskey.

@thwr 500ML cans of Warsteiner which floated over the atlantic ocean two years ago are probably not very representative of the beer. I much prefer Hacker-Pschorr (at least we get that in glass bottles!)

Never heard that... But here is a good list: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bier#Deutschland
There are 1,327 breweries in our small country and we are producing 98,078,000 HL (hectolitre) per year. I just can't know them all

I usually go for Spaten if I can find it. But the US still gets the "export grade" German beers, so there ya go. I tend to drink local because I know that real Germans would laugh at what we call "German beer" here.
There is a small brewery right down the street from my office that makes a wonderful Kolsch.

Same with Guinness. What you get here is a joke compared to what I had when I visited Ireland a few times.

@travisdh1 how far are you from Canton? I'm at the Home2 Suites in Canton tonight. Will have a little free time in the late morning, like at lunch time. But not a big window.
