Is it still attached some how to the newer installation you made, is that why you're uninstalled exchange?
If you were just decommissioning the server, why not just power it down?
When you decommission SBS you need to remove Exchange first in order to fully remove it from AD.

Didn't know that

I sneezed so hard my cigarette vanished, somehow it flew over my monitor and behind my desk. At first, for a brief stupid moment, I thought somehow I may have completely inhaled it.

This is how fires happen.

Well I got the raspberry pi set up for the trip. Leaving for FL tomorrow afternoon. It's broadcasting an SSID so we can stream media from it in the car with tablets and phones.

Cool, how are you powering it?

I got a 4 port 7 amp USB thing. I just have it plugged into that.

That's a great idea for us, we have two kids and six devices that we use in the car that we could be streaming to that would be so much more useful.

Ya, it's got a nice long cable so you can tuck it away somewhere out of sight.

The one bad thing is since it's standalone, if you join a phone to it you won't have internet, but we are just using Kindle Fires. I was going to get a screen for the Pi but the Kindle was pretty much the same price.

What are you using for the streaming?

What are you using for the streaming?
I installed Estrong's on each fire and VLC and another media player. Then I just have a Samba share that I open with Estrong's. I also have Apache running if you want to stream over HTTP.
-
I had an NFS export, but VLC was really choppy over NFS for some reason.
-
The built in wifi chip actually broadcasts pretty far. I had it upstairs and I picked up the wifi signal downstairs in the kitchen with almost full strength.

Cool, haven't used that. Anything on there that would work to an iPad? Not a huge deal, we only have iPads sometimes, Fires all the time.

That's why I did HTTP also. I haven't found an app with iOS that I can get to a network share with (that doesn't cost a lot).

How does HTTP work, just opening the video in a web browser?
