I've actually reached the point where I can do daily/weekly maintenance on everything, manage cisco voip to a level where i can accomplish tasks given to me, EMR to the same level as cisco (not custom templates yet) and I've also been taking a look at our VM Host machine. Besides the two migrations from 2003 to 2012 (Domain and File Server) I noticed one of my hard drives is almost full. I think the memory is almost capping as well--enough to stop me from creating another VM anyway.
Sounds like it's time to add more RAM... or get bigger servers!

It might be. There are some VM's listed that I don't know about. I could potentially free some of those resources. We'll see.

Maybe he should setup a Zabbix Server to get some statistical performance metrics before investing money.
You have a guide somewhere, right @dafyre ?

First day on the new job. Doing support for a small division of a much larger company. It's me and one other guy locally. Pretty cool.

We were actually already talking about that in a PM

My git server is being stubborn this morning... It would seem that I missed the expiring cert emails from Letsencrypt, lol.

Just back from taking my seven year old to the dentist. Had her molars sealed and one cavity filled.

Driving out to Rochester in an hour or so.

Oh cool you will be at your dads then?

Starting to select some instrumental music for my voicemail greeting... might be Stravinsky, might be Mr. Bungle....

Yeah.
Pfft dads are stupid.
Oh crap, I'm a dad!

@BRRABill I sure hope so. This is going to push this project back at least a 1 or 2.

I'm livid at the moment and in complete disbelief that I have to explain the difference between scheduled down time, and downtime.
How one is "you plan for it to take X long, if it's shorter great. If the full length no one gives a crap."
The other is "our systems are down at unplanned time, fix it quickly"

Why livid? did the MSP not understand this or your boss?

The latter, and the latter would like to do our migration on a Saturday night between 10PM and 6AM.
Which I'm not paid nearly enough to deal with that crap.

Just got a mail today where they ask if I would like to review HPE’s HC380 from some well-known orange themed website. Am I really supposed to risk a bad back from unpacking and lifting servers for just 50 bucks?
