Our larger room I have wireless projection from a laptop to it.

I just configured my Android tablet as a softphone, and got it setup with extension 8003.
Now from anywhere in the house I could call from any of the rooms to any other device I setup.
Now more need to shout.
That's so awesome!

You can also intercom from ext to ext if the receiving softphone supports it.
Pretty much all desk phones support it.
By default, the FreePBX feature code is *80 + EXT

Deck re-building all day. Movie outside on the side of the barn tonight. Anyone close enough is welcome (heck you all are welcome but well I think a crazy long drive for a movie might be a bit much).
